Sweet mods. I have a question. If you are using this for drag racing.

I like the idea of shorter gear ratio. But, the shift right before the 1/4 mile with a 5 speed worries me. If it was well before the 1/4 like the 7 speed 63 then I am all for it. But, a late shift to 4th could possibly make your car slower in the 1/4 but quicker up top somewhere.

Just some speculation based on some facts, I guess we will shall see. Good luck!

it wont make it slower im not even tacked out in 3rd now plus adding a hoosier qtp bias ply tire it will grow a inch. Even if it does shift wont be a problem because the rpm's will be up and its actually less load on the engine.

Sweet! Bias ply with a high stall… Hmmm Sounds like someone knows what they are doing! Sounds like you have it all figured out.

3.06 final drives comes from a E63 with PP? GL!

Threads like this are wonderful! The information on MB drivetrains is beginning to sink into my little-bitty clod-kicking hillbilly brain....

You guys keep talking and I'll just sit here and absorb the knowledge....

But...may I ask if anyone can point me to locations that provide information on MB packages and the variations between those packages? Or would y'all have to shoot me after telling me? If the latter, I'll use my "Google-Fu".

This place is a joke.
Eurocharged did my TCU for 2.82 gearing and it worked first try FWIW.
