Polydyn ceramic coated my headers

Got my kleemann headers ceramic coated by polydyn here in Houston. $270 for both and the turnaround was 1 week. Can't wait to get them on.

They coated both inside and out with their highest temperature rated coating.

Does anyone have data on their coated headers? I've been considering it heavily but I'd like to know how much underhood temps drop, and how well the tubing is holding up underneath the coating.

Are these thermal coatings? The white lightning from Swaintech works well but is not aesthetically pleasing and alot more expensive than the prices you guys are saying

I have thermal coated my W124 500E "headers" myself. I used some cheapo "VHT spray" and yet still the difference is huge underhood.
Also after you shut off the engine, you can touch the headers with your bare hand some minutes afterwards, which would be IMPOSSIBLE uncoated

I plan to coat the Kleemann Headers (The new ugly type 4-2-1 made in china) after i test-fitted them on my CL.
I will use Techlinecoatings (TX) products for that, as they are according to my knowledge one of the major suppliers of coatings to many many businesses. Many consider their coatings "the best".

I know of cast manifolds that have been coated with White Lightning and they're amazing... but like you said, appearance.

I'm more worried about what the coating will do to the header material over time. No sense in buying $2-3k headers and coating them just to have the coating turn the headers into rubbish. I've seen cases where the material holds up great and cases where the material degrades over time.

Yeas. And I saw you not too long ago, out where I work now. DD Performance Research out in Sealy. One of your friends was using our All wheel drive Dyno.

Good choice of car. It's not an NSX, but it is a fantastic car. It matches my tastes at this point. (Oh how they've changed)

Is that a stock resonator at the end of the tubes? What size exhaust pipes did you go with?

3" 304 stainless connected to the stock resonator. I think it sounds awesome. Will upgrade mufflers at the beginning of the year
