Looking to swap my 211 E63 mufflers for 211 E55 mufflers plus $
So after driving my E55 for the summer with MBH longtubes, no cats, and E63 mufflers, I have decided it is a little too loud for my tastes.
Anyone interested in swapping their excellent condition stock E55 mufflers with tips for my excellent condition stock E63 mufflers with tips? In case you were not aware, they are a direct interchange for each other. The E63's are just a wide open design, so they are louder.
I am asking $500, and I will do the labor to swap them out. I am located in Chicagoland, so you must be willing to meet there to to this. And your mufflers, pipes, tips must be in excellent condition with no damage like mine are.
PM me if you have any questions or are interested.

I could drive to Chicago in 11 hours. 4 tanks of gas =2 $260 + $500. Cheaper than buying a set here and paying for the install.
Tempting. But don't have time good deal.

I guess you will find somebody. But stock e55 mufflers go for $500-$650 and e63 mufflers go anywhere from $600- $800. A little on the high side when exchanging.. good luck

Um, wow. I didn't think I would have to come on here to defend a price of $500 for a mint condition set of E63 mufflers INSTALLED.
E63/C63 mufflers don't come up for sale very often, and when they do, they usually get sold pretty quick. I paid $800 for these back in the spring and think that I got a decent deal on them.
Keep in mind that I am taking care of the install on these too. This alone could be worth a couple hundred to someone who doesn't know how or simply doesn't want to install themselves.
I have already received several interested PMs on these, and this post has been up for maybe 12 hours, which also leads me to believe it is a pretty good deal. First one to actually commit to them will get the deal.
As far as used E55 mufflers go, when they go up for sale, they usually sit for a while, and usually don't sell, especially for "500-650". Who is buying E55 mufflers except the rare occasion when people want to convert a 500 or something to quad exhaust tips? It's like the people who come on here selling factory heat exchangers or exhaust manifolds. Not much of a market for the stock E55 parts. I actually threw my stock 55 mufflers in the garbage.
I'm sure you meant well, but I really don't appreciate you questioning my pricing publicly IN MY POST, especially when it doesn't seem like you really know what you are talking about. In fact, I'm sure there is a forum rule specifically condemning this.

I've received a few pms asking to ship them. If you ship me yours first with payment, I will ship mine back to you the same day I receive yours.
They must not be damaged in any way though- dents, holes, rusted, modified, cut off flanges, etc.

Need to understand more about the segments to and from the mufflers. I will be keeping my cats.
I am looking for a pic of the entire system so I can see the sections.
I am in Socal so no traveling, only shipping.
Exhaust us coming off soon anyway.
