Interchangeable Differentials?

Swap gears and add LSD/Qualif.

Some early 03 models have 'lower grade' parts in a sense; as MBZ placed 'stronger/beefier' rear diff and rear axles in the 04-06 E55. PM your last 8 and I can check if you want to know which one you have. Otherwise like the other guy said LSD rear diff would do this car wonders. They make kits for either differential in these vehicles.
