My wonderfull idea of gear swap hell
Well I got my ecu and tcu back again car is still **** wont shift past 3rd gear and wont downshift. What im mad about is all the downtime and dealing with sales people vs the person actually tuning. Luckily The person called me last evening thanks by the way we had a chat about whats going on and he seems confident about fixing the issue. I'm done dealing with people that you have to leave messages for or email. Truthfully it makes me just want to get rid of the damn car once its fixed.

As I'm sure you know, Mercedes performance is a niche market so talented people involved are limited, and thus stretched very thin. This can make them hard to get a hold of, and give the impression of being flaky when they're really just insanely busy.
Be patient but persistent and you'll be back in gear (no pun intended) soon. I definitely can relate to the "F this thing, get rid of it" feeling when things aren't falling together like planned, but that feeling goes away the first time you hit the gas pedal![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Good luck!

I know the feeling also - It's very frustrating when you're getting "screwed" buy a shop. I've felt like giving up on the car also, especially when its supposed to be a fun hobby.
I'm not saying your getting screwed but hang in their, and when its all pulled together and running well I'm sure your frustrations will be forgotten.

hang in there bro, it will be worth while in the end. you can buy a $100 c55 or slk55 TCU which has the 3.06 gear cal from the factory in the meantime.

Damn dude, what seems to be the issue with getting your computers reprogrammed? I thought most of these tuner shops have the ecu/tcu tunes on lock?

I think because he is trying to do something very out of the box. Sometimes you will run into limitations like this.
