Maybe with the stock airmatic, but with the Arnott revalved airmatic mine feels fine + the fact that the rear airbag is firmer due to no reservoir/slightly different design. + the sway bar mod mentioned in other threads

I can go 120+mph in sport 2 and its fine.

All thats needed to sort the airmatic out is arnotts allround, swaybar mod.

The only thing id really like to do to mine now is a slight upgrade on the rear sway bar. But it wont be as easy as the front one.

I don't think the issue with airmatic is top speed tbh. The cannonball run cars all use airmatic iirc for active suspension characteristics. It's around the turns where steel will outperform.

bit of a thread revival, eh?

I actually installed the front tower brace two months back and like it. Not hugely noticeable but did notice a slight difference at higher speed sweeping turns.

06' E55 AMG for the weekends and an 04' ML500 daily beater
I have the top engine strut brace and love it! Noticed the difference immediately within 10'. I drive over a speed bump exiting my complex at an angle and the bodys flex is so much tighter with it.. well worth the money and plan on getting a couple undercarriage braces in the future. 👍🏻 One thing I dislike is that it had grinded down a little bit on the surge tank which I'm not too happy about

Iv said before on here (not the original post I posted on here I was wrong about the H bar) the only one of these bars that makes a real difference is the one that goes from the gearbox mount/crossmember (H bar) to the front subframe. It makes quite a nice difference to the car.

These cars arent macpherson strut so the top bar does very little compared to a car with mac strut suspension.

If people want to make these handle on a budget modify your sway bars fit the top strut bar and mainly fit the H bar.

Well the upper control arms still attach to the strut tower part of the body but yes I'd expect much less of a difference on this chassis vs a pure McPherson strut chassis. The uppers don't see much load as you can tell by their design and the size of the upper BJ.
