strange alarm problem
I have a 2005 E55 that will some times sound the alarm for no reason. Even the other day I sat in the car and I would repeatedly keep hitting the unlock button to make it stop.When I unlocked it about 6 times in a row it stopped and all was fine. Today I get in to go to a meeting and as I turn the key in the ignition the alarm chirps and then nothing. I get to the meeting and as I walk across the parking lot I look back and the fog lights turn on for a second and then off.WTF? Tonight in the garage it went off again than stopped ...then I would notice the doors would lock by themselves and it never would do that unless I would hit the lock button. Also at times when locking the "chirp" would not happen but the doors would lock. What the hell is that all about? LOL Storey is a little long but wanted to give all the details. Thanks for any help.

Post 19 you will see the alarm horn. My 04 had the same issue, and unfortunately these batteries are NON serviceable so you will have to replace your entire alarm horn.
