Convertible car-seat recommendations / what fits in our cars?
With the car being rear ended, I need to replace the kid's car seat. Good time to upgrade it anyway from infant to convertible.
Unfortunately with the car in the body shop, I can't test fit car seats. I'm looking at the top end Recaro and Britax seats... I really like the recaro seat, but I've read online that in many cars it can be tough to get kids into the seat (especially when rear facing) due to the high sides / size.
Anyone here have experience with either / both? How easy is it to get kids in/out of an E55 with one of these seats? (I have a wagon but don't think the roof lines are that different for this case.

Diono Radian. The safest car seats by far (steel frame, not plastic). Narrow enough to fit three wide in an E55 (I know, as I have three wide in mine). Heavy as heck.
We have five kids in car seats in our van and all of them have these. Four face rear and one faces forward (2 year old twins, 4 year old twins, 8 year old).
My wife did research forever to pick the right seats.

+2 on the DIONO - i ended up getting the Radian R120 on Daipers.com for $315 shipped - ended up saving more than Amazon at the time i purchased -
I was on the fence about which one to order and i called their customer service and they were able to help me with my decision and talk me through which was best for me - (awesome customer service)
we moved the Britax to the nannys car - still a great seat, but so damn big -
my son calls the Diono his race car seat - its a beast -
