another fact for the haters, my car made 358rwhp bone stock on the dyno dynamics at bip.
fasn8n made 367rwhp bone stock on bips dynamics.
all the geniuses, what do most e55's make bone stock on dynojets? between 405-425rwhp , right lol.

I hear you my friend, and agree on how HP is derived from TQ.
I should clarify that at no time during my appointment did Buckhead mention DJ equivalents or conversions, nor did they try and make excuses for their dyno reading low HP. That was me speculating in my OP that their TQ readings are more inline with DJ. I don't think I had thought it through very well.
I had seen previously that stock E55s make 360-370 on this dyno, so wasn't concerned with my numbers as much as the tuning properties of the DD being a load based dyno.

my slk32 made 40 rwhp less than it had ever dyno'd before on bip's dyno. of course after tony tuned it i ran 11.9 after being stuck at 12.0 for 2 yrs on a e/c tune. the dyno # is a simple tool. don't compare this dyno pull to that dyno pull. compare timeslips and et thats the best judge of how the tune is working

I had my car dynoed on a DJ when it was stock and then dynoed again at BIP on the DD before mods were started. 15% seemed to be in the ballpark for my scenario.

The bottom line is that dyno doesn't mean a thing at the end of the day, it is what times the car posts at the track and BIP has built/tuned many cars that have posted respectable numbers at the track.

The V is a great car, especially when fitted with a 6spd manual. They are easier to mod and less costly to own compared to an AMG or M equivalent. Let me rephrase that, what you don't spend on maint goes to mods anyway, so it is a wash in the end

My E55 was an awesome car and I will always have a soft spot for AMG's, but the V wagon is a ton of fun

Is it safe to say Jerry's tune was more conservative in the AFR department and part of the reason why it makes less power? I would be curious to see the difference in timing between the two tunes as well.

This video sums up how I feel about the V. Nothing like stomping a lightly modded Ford GT twice with the same outcome

I've always loved the LS platform and even put one in my Porsche LOL. I think I'll consider a V someday...especially if I relo to an area with more twisties.
I'm still loving the E55 at this point!

At the end of the day dynos are just numbers, baseline vs modded is probably a better indicator of performance than comparing DJ vs DD vs Mustang vs whatever. The best measure of performance though is getting a vBox and using the same stretch of road doing 60-130, 100-150 etc runs. After all isn't that why you want more power and torque.

To give him credit, he did have some wheel spin in the video above, but I also tried shifting to 5th to see if it would help or hurt my mph and found out it was much better to wind 4th to the limiter.
The other time we raced, I posted a 152.xxx to his 150.xxx. Much closer, but I still beat him out.
This was my first outing at the track in the V, first time on drag radials, and I was only shifting at 6k rpm trying to gain some comfort in the car. My tuner said I probably left at least 4-5mph on the table by not shifting at 7k.
The Ford GT owner is a great guy, after beating him twice, he asked "Do you want to take it down the track for a run?" I quickly responded before he could change his mind

What a fun and easy car to drive though. Baby it off the line and then start grabbing gears

Quick thank you to Jerry at Eurocharged. Sent him the dyno results and he adjusted my original EC tune and changed the way boost is handled. Car is stronger than ever.

God I'm late finally chiming in on this thread....
And it seems like it's all run it's course appropriately.
Jerry's remote stuff done on my cars was always great... and I loved it. When I bought a tune and pulley from EC, I actually had the guys at B.I.P. put my car on their dyno and Jerry tuned it remotely. He tuned it great, safely, and probably conservatively... as a smart person would and as a concerned customer would want....but also not seeing the car in person or having full control of the setting. It's a remote tune! We had some problems with the pulley... and Jerry was super cool about that.
And guess what? I was super happy.
My baseline on the heartbreaker was 363.... and then after installing long tubes, and upgraded H.E. from EC, and a tune... it showed 421. Gain of 58 at the wheels for Heat Exchanger, Long tubes, and a tune.
Well... I was cool with that because it was a remote, conservative tune.
But... there is nothing like a tune done in person...on a dyno...with multiple runs.
So .... I saw everyone putting down numbers with the conservative mods I had....and I thought I would give the B.I.P. guys a try... the shop is literally walking distance from my house and they had been doing all the regular maintenance on my car already... so I said, "OK... do a Tony tune.... but BE CONSERVATIVE!" The car is my daily driver guys!
So B.I.P. did it... and yes, they had the advantage of having it in person... and after a quick tune...just a tune and nothing else... I did 471 on the same dyno.
I do kind of want to see what 471 on B.I.P.'s heartbreaker equals on some other dyno in town equates to.
Now. I've run this same tune as my daily driver for almost 2 years.... ran it at Go Fast... and the only issue I've had with the car is when I ran over a damn cone trying to turn around at the go fast event.
The B.I.P. guys are the most trust-worthy guys I've encountered in my 20 years of destroying cars. Jerry has been nothing but exemplary to me as well.
And...for my birthday next year... I'm getting myself a bi-turbo E63 wagon so I can race Bart. (I'm not jealous at all... seriously. I'm not)
