Exclamation New E55 Setup

So I've decided to do the following setup. Opinions and experience would be great guys.

Before the setup I had logged the following...

        1) Replaced stock pump to Bosch 010 Pump (Free)
        2) Replaced supercharger clutch (Free)
        3) Added Split cooling ($250)
        4) Will add 175MM Crank Pulley (Free)
        5) Tune (Free)

Notes: I'm a daily aggressive driver (light to light)
        1. Does my cooling suffice? Do I necessarily need an upgraded heat exchanger? Mandatory or good to have?
        2. Anyone have a similar setup? Issues? Heat? Longetivity?
        3. Fuel injectors needed? Mandatory or good to have?
        4. Any tips of stuff I'm missing? Optimizations? Suggestions?

If I were you Definitely go with a larger H/E.. Cooling is the Biggest issue with these cars, no use to make big power if your IAT's are too high.. Headers will help as well with power AND cooling. As far as injectors go rule of thumb is that when you get to 500 whp you should increase the injector size so they don't max out on duty cycle, if they do Boom... Nobody needs that... Look at my mods and mine is a daily driver.. Like you if I'm in the mood I'll race anyone/anytime.. Good luck...

Well if you want a serious answer, then yes the H/E is a common sense upgrade as well..... PM Shardul, he's running a nice group buy on the PLM-branded unit, which fits correctly and has provisions for the factory oil cooler (2005-2006 E55 models)

Recovery will be quicker, but you will still be fighting heatsoak on long pulls. You can play around with trunk tanks, KillerChillers and/or Meth as countermeasures for high IATs. Plenty of reading to do on those subjects.

Once you get your HP/TQ all beefed up, you won't have any traction.... so you should be looking at getting an LSD (Quaife) for the rear axle... and a set of good quality tires to put the power down. Shardul also sells a new toe-link kit and camber arms if you want to really fine-tune the traction side of the equation. Personally, I'm amazed at how little time and effort people spend on those items..... everyone seems to want 500+RWHP, but then confess that they run cheap Hankook tires.

The possibilities are endless, and the amount of money you can spend is also unlimited. Personally, once I get my car close to 500WHP with a good set of suspension tweaks I'm done.... that's the "sweet spot" IMHO. Chasing HP after that gets exponentially more expensive, and the reliability really starts to be a concern too.

I currently run Nitto NT05's.. Good tires 275 in the rear but can still spin them at 60 mph.. They are semi slicks, I live in an area where it barely rains so I can get away with it.. If you live in a rainy area go with Michelin PSS.. I'll probably go back to those for my next set and bump it to 285 rear and 255 front...

Excellent summary of how to approach mods on this platform.
