Hopefully 4 months away!
Well I know most seem to post their first message after taking delivery, but I couldn't wait. We just ordered a silver E55 and my dealer thinks it will be here April or May. I'm very excited. I got a taste of one this weekend. There is a new silver E55 on the lot at Greenway Plaza, Houston. We almost bought it on Saturday but then realized it was ordered without the lighting package. First of all, it should be standard on this car, and second, I can't imagine anyone actually ordering one without this option. Also, the only option it had was Nav. If anyone's interested it's still there. MSRP at 81K. We did get to drive it which is just a teaser for me. What an awesome car! Didn't get into it too much, but it has some pretty sick torque, even down low. My wife wasn't used to the power and spun the wheels a little off of a light without even trying. It put a grin on her face.
There's a lot of great info on this board and I look forward to passing the time until ours arrives. I can't wait.

I feel your pain. They tell me April for mine to arrive. I agree with you about the lighting package....don't leave home without it!
If I could find a Platium Blue, Nav systen, blue tooth phone, keyless go, panorama roof, tire monitor....consider it sold. But guess the wait is on.
I think that AMG says the Plat Blue ones are a little faster, has something to do with the coieficient of drag in the paint molocules of something
Let me know the first sighting of yours.

Congrats on taking the plunge. You won't regret it. The car is endless fun, as I'm sure you could tell already. We lucked out because the dealer said he had one that was just about to be built. He wasn't kidding because we had it in about a month. We like the silver too, though it's proven to be an awesome car in a variety of colors.

You guys who feel the washers are useless are lucky that you don't have to deal with road salt. Once that coats the headlight lens your visibility goes way down. I believe that is why all Xenons have to have the headlamp washers. They do work with the Bi-Xenons as well as the standards on my old CLK.
