You must be on here.. Previous owner! I have polite questions
Well, looks like the dealer is holding their ground on not paying for the blown motor... BUT.
I am more able to handle this problem than most.
I am the Fabricator at a slightly higher end Performance shop.
I can do the work..
I am out some $ for a used motor - for quick running results - but I can do the work myself.. senseless hours I shouldnt have to waste, but can get done.
Im NOT mad at the previous owner. Just at the dealer. So moving forward
The #8 cylinder is trashed due to the usual broken ring land. Confirmed with boroscope.
Anyway. I have questions about the car since it is highly modified from previous owner.
EDIT: NO KILLER CHILLER. Just separate reservoir tank (polished aluminum) in Trunk. Pulleys. Throttle body. Injectors. NPI (yeah, I know) headers and exhaust.
The NPI part should make this car stand out.. Houston company, Houston Car. I live in Houston.
The next obvious thing is that the previous owner is Diabetic. It is a bit personal, but I found some extra blood test strips in the console. (Dealer didn't clean it out as good as they thought)
There are some wires with computer pins and cigarette plug coming out of the passenger floor board. (possible Innovate Wideband cables)
I'm sure someone on here might know who owned this car. Please get in contact with me on here so I can get her back on the road in perfect running order. Specifically need help with the tune that's on it once I get the replacement motor in there. I need to change it to something a little more my style. - Rich and retarded. (See what I did there?)
Thanks to anyone that might be able to help
-Bruce.

Legal ramifications for dealer if you pursue?
Black benz was selling a sleeved block. Another guy on here has a crank, and you can reuse the heads, and core them to Shardul for rebuilt. Thats half the battle.

Stock everything outside. Silver. I DO now think that the wires coming from under the floor board might actually be from a newer Innovate wideband without the box with display.
Did you sell an NPI Header AND exhaust combo to anyone?
Very possible. 2hours after purchase looks pretty fishy to ANYONE. Including any judge or jury. My only downside could be that the seller is friends with the dealer that sold it to me. Doubtful, but then anything is possible.

I FOUND HIM!!!!!!!
His name on here is HouMike.
He did not write many posts here. his links on his account here did not work. It gave me a lot of insight on what has been done to the car though!
Something Crazy. I looked up his name on Facebook. Found him, but he posts even less there. he actually disappeared on his Facebook page and Here around the same time. I kinda feared the worst actually. So I looked up his family members. I went to his wife's Facebook page and guess what? Facebook said we had 1 MUTUAL FRIEND!!!!!!
I looked at the friend and it was a family member of mine.
I messaged my family member and she said she knows his wife well and actually went to highschool with her. I knew social media was cool but... wow. My niece is sending his wife a message to please contact me.
Very cool.. So very damn cool.
Here are the mods HouMike had in a few of his posts. I have no info on the car after Sept 2013, so there might have been a different tune on the car, or something could have changed. I can see clearly he added NPI Headers, Exhaust, pulley wrap and a trunk mounted reservoir later. He also changed out the Crank Pos. Sensor and the Engine mounts. So far, kinda happy with all of this. (relative to a blown engine) he is an engineer and certainly tried to do everything right. Oh yeh.. 82mm Throttle body. thats a big one. And 55lb injectors.

injectors EC
cooler plugs - bosch

Honestly, not really cool. You used it for a good purpose, and to search and find what you needed, and that skill found you what you needed. Now, imagine someone or people who use it for nefarious purposes, what they can find out about you, your family, where you go--- basically your pattern of life. People need to be really cautious with what they put out on their social media. All aspects of life can be had doing that. The family people stickers on mommy wagons are pretty bad also. Think of the basic conversations you could start up, appearing that you know basic family information, and be making it seem like your a friend of her husband or neighbor. Again not good knowing how naive people are these days. Anyway glad you found your person!!!!!!

This really sucks and the car only had 56k miles! Obviously this happened bc of heat in the rear cylinder right? There are guys out there with 130k + miles and mods on stock engine so how did they and others prevent this from happening in the future?
I hope you get this all worked out for a little $$ and time as possible.

This was bought at auction so obviously doing a compression test is not easy to pull off. There are many cars being sold that their compression is down and believe it or not guys still mod them Compression test before you buy if possible

Now that I've torn some of it down, I see a couple problems that could have caused the blown motor.
Huge possible reason is the hose routing for the Heat exchanger. As I worked on the car last night I saw a few epic fails of the Coolant lines leading back to the tank. I think the cooler wasn't getting the fluid. At all.
I am not completely sure this is the only reason, as there are a few hints that show me a bigger picture..
I will not explain further due to possible legalities in the near future, But I certainly do not blame the previous private owner of the Car. HouMike. This was not his fault in my opinion.
The parts were there to do their job and should have. Just not in this case.

Thanks Nomad. The car does now have a much higher number on the odometer though.. This made me look into things much further because clearly it lasted this long.
I think you can rest easy that it wasn't that parts fault on the car. From what I am finding, this is an extenuating circumstance.
I will swap motors. Get her running and continue to mod with confidence at this point.
