Yeah. That’s how I roll.
Wavetrac will go in and bushings on rear subframe will all get replaced. Total refresh. I’ll take pics for documentation.
Also need to work on water lines to rear while subframe is out. Water tank will be back there.

I found that there is a large issue with one of the bushings in the rear subframe when you go to buy replacements. May make a new thread to ask the question.
This is the part number and part at ECS (who is being willfully unhelpful).

But it looks like this:

I wouldn't care what it looks like visually as long as all the dimensions are the same. It just appears that the inner sleeve is different in the replacement part?

And all the pictures show that no bushing that comes up for this part numbers are completely different then what is on the car.
no one has replaced this? No on on the e500 and e320 sides? I can’t believe it.

Found the correct part. Stealer had to find it as ECS tuning where I bought several
of the parts was
Completely
****ing
useless
They stopped emailing me after I asked difficult questions.
We all have many sources. Why not just help?
I have spent 1000s of dollars with them from Porsche and mbz stuff - I’ll think thrice about that next time.

I don't have a pic, but I did remove the condensor after this and I have full access to the front of the engine now.
Yes, this is a WYAIT for the shocks.
I have additional pics on a better camera I am collecting for putting stuff back together. I am replacing on the engine:
Water Pump
Both Tensioners
All pulley wheels
A/C compressor
Rebuiding or refreshing alternator
Thermostat
Seal for Oil filter assembly
Possible:
Timing Chains. I will have to do some more research.

I am going to attempt to record the work, but the forum/community is in a very different place right now, as evidenced by the "I didn't expect part X to ever break, how do I fix?" and of course wheelz advertisements. Sometimes I wonder if these new milenial owners even know you need to replace a water pump on a car as a wear item.
Technology has moved on, and finance is cheap. And there were less than 10k cars in total as I recall. I will do the work properly and see where I end up.

As a continuation of this thread, to buck the trend of incomplete threads and/or unfinished documentation, here is some progress.
I have neared the complete rebuild of the rear subframe, including an install of the wavetrac.
So with that said, new on this subframe are:
