Which one? I got a Nissan Versa from the rental car company and I actually gave it back to them and waited a couple hours for a bigger car. The Hyundai Elantra is good, but not the Accent. The Toyota Corolla has excellent fuel economy, a less beautiful interior than the Hyundai Elantra, but significantly better fuel economy than the Elantra. Lastly, the Toyota Corolla has LED headlamps which have a soothing color wavelength. The Ford Focus has better steering.

The last rental I got was a Volvo S40 T5 AWD. That was a fantastic car! Good steering, brakes, refined engine and transmission, very stable and smooth, very good handling.

I will hopefully be taking my sl600 to the strip next weekend at Santa pod in the UK. This will be my first time on a drag strip so any advice would be appriciated. I have a lot of track experience with many different cars and after reading a lot of posts on this site it has convinced me to give the 1/4 mile a try.

I have done the SCCR weekend thing in the cone zone. She's a big girl to dance that close & tight! But it was fun and learning HP turns it more than the wheel was an eye opener.

Best 57:00 The M's (track designed by BMW SD) 58-6ish.. The Miata sea of cars did the same. The Subaru WRX's with motors were awesome! Fun to **** cones and watch them go... They were doing 49's.

I have lots of 1/8th mile strips around me that seem to all be shutdown for winter except for the occasional warm weather weekend. There nearest 1/4 mile track that is regularly open is about 2.5 hours away.

I'm hoping to get back out there in the early spring though

Going to be going to the Wednesday night drags as soon as Sonoma Raceway opens up. I didnt even know they had a strip there. I thought Sac Raceway was my only option. A buddy with an RS5 and I have been talking trash to each other here and there so we are going to settle things come March.

thanks!!! and i tell people all the time that you cant to the 1/4 without driving through the 1/8... a short track is GREAT practice, because what are you really doing from the 1/8 mile mark to the 1/4 mile mark??? mashing the gas??? bottom line is get to the track, just being there will lower your anxiety about driving, thus giving you a better time because you are more focused and less distracted...

There are hardly any racers here, that's obvious but also understandable. These are Mercedes. I had a few rentals late Fall and I don't think one Benz guy showed up at any of them (except cnterline) but he was with me and we both kinda set it up so he doesn't count. The rentals were a go bc of the V forum so no, there aren't many racers here, obviously! Only a handful. I will probably bring mine to the track this year to see what it'll do but I don't really care on that car...this is why I say that it is understandable that there are not many Benz racers.
