remove the 7 to 8 the TQ screws, lift cover, remove air filter, remove dirt from the bottom of the box, put new filters and re install everything in reverse order

Thanks Shardul.

Is it not necessary to remove the rubber hoses that connect to the throttle body or can you just take out the filters by lifting the covers with the hoses connected?

I am not so sure its not that simple

There is more to it you need to know which way to insert the filter I made a thread today the link is below.

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/600851-i-need-help-w211-amg-air-filter.html

I made a thread today and I am 40% sure I made a mistake when I changed my air filter 2 years ago (17K miles ago).
