The 2nd Run of Shields is shipping. Thanks everyone for your participation and patience.
background ....
START OF NEW LIST (list #2)
All of the first batch were spoken for before they were even done, so a new batch is being made. Members who MAY want one should ask to be added (ask in this thread, I will add you to the list below). Once you see yourself on the list, the next step is that you will hear from me when I am getting ready to ship (approx 3-24-15 for this batch). Assuming you still want it when I contact you, I will give you payment info and we will proceed from there.
REMEMBER, getting on the list is NOT a commitment to buy; getting on the list guarantees you an opportunity to buy one when they become available.
Please see post number 54 for the pictures of the production version of the scattershield and post 71 for a short video showing it installed on a running motor (along with the engine cover going on) Unlike the proto I made (that looked nearly identical) this part is All Stainless Steel, Laser-cut, machine rolled ... and ready to go.
Again, this DOES fit under the factory front cover.
The Scattershield takes less that 10 minutes to install, but comes with complete install instructions (annotated pictures for those who don't like to read much : ) All that is required to install it is a 17mm wrench and a 9/64" allen wrench.
The Scattershield works on all AMG 55 cars AND with all factory and aftermarket pulley combinations AND with or without the Belt Wrap Kit.
Anyone who gets on the list will be able to by one at the previously indicated kind-of special price of $105 (those who added themselves to the list before 2-23-15 but missed the first batch are still eligible for the special intro price of $95).
Shipping (2-day priority) in the US is $6 (international shipping should be $25-$29 in most cases). Free US shipping for 2 or more.

Damn Chris you're my kind of seller! Just got mine today and wasn't expecting it till Wednesday. Looks sharp and very well built just like the ones for the 32/srt-6 platform. Looking forward to installing it next weekend. Thank you Chris!

I was in the first group that purchased.
The scattersheild is a solid piece of work. The instructions were incredibly detailed with pictures and high quality. For the money I spent with Chris, I am upset with him for not charging more. The amount of time and work was worth more than $103 or whatever it was. Impeccable product and stand up guy.

Got mine the other day and installed it. Very solid piece and well made. Fitment was perfect, and am confident that if my springs were to ever fail on the SC clutch, this would protect the surrounding area from the damage that usually occurs when they do break. Thanks for making this product Chris.

Got mine yesterday. Everything was as described . I was running a stock SC pulley and 168 crank pulley when mine failed . Everyone should be running this product weather your SC pulley is aftermarket or stock. Thanks Chris for the quality product and service.

Could not agree more. I too am running a stock SC pulley, but after dealing with the damage of a dynamited serpentine thought some protection for the rotating mass of the pulley flying in all directions if it failed could do some serious damage to a number of vulnerable components at the front of the engine and my 178 counter pulley definitely increases the rotational speed. The ground is just starting the thaw up here so it will be another few weeks before I get my shield installed.

Chris,
My shield arrived a couple of days ago. Hoping to get it installed next week. Very well made. Thanks for your courteous service and good product.
Beautiful day again yesterday in southeast PA!!!!! 3/4 inch of rain forecast for today - going to be VERY green and beautiful here in about 2 weeks - slightly above average rain/snow fall this year so far (NO water restrictions here!!). Sorry, after a miserable winter that was 3-10 degrees BELOW historical average temperatures for 4 of last 5 months, we've got to have something going for us - ha.

Even if we had no water restrictions out here in California, it would still never be as lusciously green as Pennsylvania gets (I miss that part of Penn more than anything).

Can I get in on this list? I may be switching to a 77mm clutched pulley if my tune doesn't work with the FSP

Ran into a bit of a snag. The post is too short on my car. Maybe because it's a CLS, or maybe because it's an '06. Either way I need a good idea to deal with it. Anybody got one?

i think this is okay, i will check mine, as it is only designed to stop the fragments from going out, while you may be concerned with upwards motion, there will also be downwards motion.
i will look at mine today

Not sure of the rotational forces down under though
