Ok so now that the nonsense is over when is this race going to take place? If you take in the consideration of mods and vehicle weight it will be a very interesting race.

Avis gave me a 2014 5.0 Sh*tstang as a rental for a week for the price of a honda fit. Why are we comparing plastic budget rental cars to a E klass?

Let's get off the mustang talk and keep it related to the topic please and thank you.Originally Posted by A.M.

Anyway, OP, with the mods you/him have, it'll be a neck and neck race sounds like, and possibly the advantage to him as you're on stock pullies. Those things pull very well up top with a tune.
Typical mods on a c63, did you catch if it was a p31 package or a 507? Originally Posted by ArmoE55

Charcoal delete is removing the charcoal filters in the airbox; for whatever reason in US spec cars they use 2 filters the air filter coupled with a charcoal filter. Tuners claim a few extra HP gains by removing the charcoals and stock filter and replacing with K&N or other performance brands.
Some even opt to swap out airboxes with ROW airboxes, which are EURO spec air boxes & MAF, basically allowing more air in. I have pics of them on my other laptop i will ad it. Not sure how much whp gains they make but they increase the airflow.

All I can say is bring it on. I have a an 12.9 second ls1 and I just pulled 8 cars to 130 with my bone stock e55. I still feel guilty and don't understandOriginally Posted by mawaleegulu
The other guy was talking about cars with work now you are talking about stock to stock lol with work done cobras and 5.0s will walk any amg and with that im done stating my point. Just give credit where it is due. With less horsepower and a manual trans (that actually requires skill unlike your autotragic trans) we still beat you guys on the street.

I could tell it wasn't a 507 (hood) and he said it's a non-P31 car. I bet with long tube headers and a better tune, he would've pulled on me much better up top. Originally Posted by akmatic63

I trap 121-122 and he was inching away up top with my mods (upper pulley and tune). Unfortunately, I don't have headers on my car or I think the outcome would've been better for me haha. I know some E55s with just headers, upper pulley, and tune trap in the 125ish range.
Let us know how the race went ... video please

This is what happens, when you talk but no race… You are asking for bench racers.

If you read any part of this thread, we've stated multiple times, we were waiting for the c63 to get tires. He is this Friday. Race will be on the weekend. Originally Posted by Max.H

And a Bentley guy would say the same thing about your Benz. Who cares about the make, as long as it's quick and fun? Originally Posted by 06E55BEAST

In other words, quit being snotty. You own a $20k model, not a new SLS.

Definitely agree. I was surprised how fast a Mustang gt can be with just a few bolt ons. There cheap go fast cars. Nothing wrong with that. I had an is300 that would smoke most of the e55s on this forum. I sold it and purchased my e55, slightly slower, but would never go back :-)Originally Posted by HeissRod

Exactly, you can tell he was just trolling. Don't know why everyone got so offended. Acting like snotty 16 year olds. I love stangs, and most cars for that matter. They're fun, cheap to mod, fast cars. Plan on buying a '14 Gt500 soon too.Originally Posted by HeissRod

I can't speak for the kid who was trolling, but for myself, I can...
No need to go let defensive, or dramatic. It's all in fun, and just a gentle ribbing. I believe most of us can respect a fast car, regardless of the make/model.
Now let's do our part, and help a buddy get tires on his car so the rest of us can stop fantasizing about this "event", in "Mexico"... On a "closed course".
