We both get off at the next exit and I asked him what mods he had at the light. Deleted secondaries with Xpipe, deleted resonator with straights, EC V5 tune, charcoal delete(?) whatever that is. He said he ran 11.5 @123. He said the C63s really open up after a tune. He is planning for long tubes and dyno tune next. Cool dude.
Anyway, OP, with the mods you/him have, it'll be a neck and neck race sounds like, and possibly the advantage to him as you're on stock pullies. Those things pull very well up top with a tune.
Typical mods on a c63, did you catch if it was a p31 package or a 507?
Charcoal delete is removing the charcoal filters in the airbox; for whatever reason in US spec cars they use 2 filters the air filter coupled with a charcoal filter. Tuners claim a few extra HP gains by removing the charcoals and stock filter and replacing with K&N or other performance brands.
Some even opt to swap out airboxes with ROW airboxes, which are EURO spec air boxes & MAF, basically allowing more air in. I have pics of them on my other laptop i will ad it. Not sure how much whp gains they make but they increase the airflow.
The other guy was talking about cars with work now you are talking about stock to stock lol with work done cobras and 5.0s will walk any amg and with that im done stating my point. Just give credit where it is due. With less horsepower and a manual trans (that actually requires skill unlike your autotragic trans) we still beat you guys on the street.
All I can say is bring it on. I have a an 12.9 second ls1 and I just pulled 8 cars to 130 with my bone stock e55. I still feel guilty and don't understand

I could tell it wasn't a 507 (hood) and he said it's a non-P31 car. I bet with long tube headers and a better tune, he would've pulled on me much better up top.
I trap 121-122 and he was inching away up top with my mods (upper pulley and tune). Unfortunately, I don't have headers on my car or I think the outcome would've been better for me haha. I know some E55s with just headers, upper pulley, and tune trap in the 125ish range.
Sadly that wasn't a race, was just an older pic i thought i would share lol. Planned the race for next weekend, assuming my tires are installed before then!

Definitely agree. I was surprised how fast a Mustang gt can be with just a few bolt ons. There cheap go fast cars. Nothing wrong with that. I had an is300 that would smoke most of the e55s on this forum. I sold it and purchased my e55, slightly slower, but would never go back :-)

my MBH long tubes just came in as well, but I am having trouble finding a good performance shop in the Orlando area to get them installed...help!
