Throttle Body Plug?

Throttle Body Plug?
Hey guys,

I have started stripping my engine down to paint and do the throttle body half shaft mod

I found the plug on the throttle body but cannot seem to figure out how to remove it

There seems to be some sort of hard gasket gunk around the plug which may stop me from being able to unclip it

Am I looking at the right plug?

I don't want to break it trying to take it out - spares are scarce here to say the least

I have attached the photo of it

Problem solved duuh

Found the plug down further on the loom which I thought was just "loom"

Not even drunk either

All good now

Ya the stock tb on the E55 has some epoxy around the plug, unplugging it from the harness is the only way.

Do a search in the forum for throttle body shaft grind, its similar to that but its the old hot rodders way of doing it where you remove the top non threaded shaft (i'll be leaving a few mm on each side for butterfly support instead of going all the way up to the throttle wall - if going right to the wall you are then reliant on the screws to keep everything together

On a side note,

Does anyone have an extra throttle body harness they want to sell? I'm looking to swap my throttle body but I can't get the plug off.

the plug is about 12" away from the throttle body on the harness... unplug it from there
