Resonator delete?
Just picked up an '06 with 152K on it. On my Volvo S60 T5, I had luck with eliminating the muffler and getting a really nice tone out of it. Obviously, without the turbo, that would be way too loud on the E55. I've seen a video of an E55 with the resonator removed. Any thoughts on the level of sound change? Wouldn't mind some more rumble but I don't want a bunch of resonance in the cabin. Would like to hear comments on the best approach.
I saw the other thread on the thunderbolt high-flow cats. Seems like a no-brainer at that price. Experience good/bad?
Thanks

You won't have any drone, but realistically the stock mufflers are too restricting. The resonator delete doesn't do much at all. If you want more sound get c63 mufflers and keep your resonators in place.

from what i've read you'd need to upgrade to E63 or C63 mufflers along with the resonator delete to have any enjoyable rumble.
additionally you can cut open your muffler and gut/bypass it.
