Odd issue with my command unit

Lately my satellite stations have been updating....a lot. I was driving for roughly 45 minutes straight the other day and my radio displayed the "Satellite Stations Updating" message (or whatever exactly it says) 3-4 times. This is not the first time this has happened and it seems to be getting more frequent. I have not had any issues with reception, before anyone asks. Any ideas why my command unit is obsessed with updating?

I am having an odd issue, too. My clock used to auto-update, but it no longer does. If I go into the settings to set it manually, I can only change the time in 30 minute increments. I can change the hour easily, but the minutes will only go up or down in 30 minute chunks. So, the only way I can get the correct time on my car is to pull the battery cable and then connect it immediately on the hour or 30 minutes past. The date is stuck on 2003.

My nav quit working a long time ago, but I never really cared since it is garbage, anyways. I figured it was the disc drive and when the dealer quoted me a figure of $2k for a new one (completely absurd even for a Mercedes dealer), I cared even less. The compass feature in the dash still works accurately, so I don't think the antenna is to blame.

My Sirius/XM works fine, though. I actually got six months of service on both of my cars for $24 total. I just wish the music quality were better. Even FM sounds better.

I have the same "30 minute" jump when setting time, but it always syncs from the dash to the correct time, so it doesn't bother me.
