HID defect??
Hey guys, I have Morimoto XB35 35W 6000k Fogs in my car. The right fog starts up and warms up fine at 6000k, but my left fog starts up at the same color as the right fog (a bit bluer than 6000k), but then warms up to < 5000k. I would say around 4500k, almost halogen colored...
Anyone had this problem before? I'm going to switch the bulbs and see if it's the bulb or the ballast...anyone know if it's the bulb or ballast before I swap em out?
Thanks

How old is the kit? The ballasts generally do not change the bulb color. They usually flicker or just don't start. The bulb may of color shifted or it's not broken in all the way if new.

I had the Morimoto 5Five kit with 5k bulbs in my 2005 E55 and finally took them out. They were so inconsistent and no one could figure out why. Had a buddy with same kit and had the exact same results.

Well I just took out the bulbs, I believe one is the wrong one. They are both different bulbs. One has a metal piece on the base and is shorter. The shorter one with the metal piece also says "6K" on it and the other one does not...The one that does not is the bulb that is discolored..
