How to remove supercharger?
How do I remove the supercharger safely and without causing any damage?
What are the possible dangers to consider?
What are the tools needed?
Thanks for the help guys.

^ that or then just take a good look around and you will see its pretty starightforward.
Basicly something like this:
Remove airfilter boxes, sc belt, remove surge tanks, loosen the fuel inlet to fuelrail, metal pipe next to fuel line coming from the sc, remove the fuelrail and injectors(they pup up with little wiggling), unplug throttlebody or just take it off, loosen and remove the intercooler lines going to intercooler. After this you are ready to unbolt the SC, its held on by 10(if i remember correctly) big torx bolts tx55 or something like that, you cant miss them.
There are some good pics around of the SC removed to give you and idea of how everything is.
As of what dangers, just make sure you dont drop anything to the heads and to cylinder.. PS why taking it off?

I'm taking it off because I bought a wrecked E55 and parted it and now I have the engine, SC and gearbox connected together. I need to take off the SC to test it on another car to make sure it works as the engine is not in the best shape and therefore cannot be tested together.
Is there a risk of debris going inside the supercharger and ruining it? I've heard of instances where debris goes into the supercharger core which is welded and renders the supercharger useless.

I haven't had a chance to do this yet.
I really need to know the danger of debris. The engine has been sitting and there is alot of dirt on top of the supercharger and the engine. What should I do in terms of cleaning before attempting to remove it. This is really important, I don't want to ruin the SC because of a dumb thing like debris or dirt.

Remove throttle body and tape the inlet. Thats the biggest hole going into SC and is right behind the screws. After you take surgetanks off tape the intercooler holes too so nothing falls there. After that on the front side there are two holes where the bypass valve hoses go and one for the secondary airpump. Seal these also. There are no other places for anything to enter the SC as you will probably leave the intake air and map sensors in place.

I need a little more detail on this. By the way there was alot of dirt on the engine. I vacuumed as much as I can but when I took those 2 "surge tanks" off some powder fell in the holes. It honestly could not be avoided. I looked down the hole and I was looking inside the cylinder heads which are damaged anyway. Did I drop anything into the intercooler or do those holes no go in there?
I took off the 8mm bolts holding the fuel rail, so what do I do next?

I took of the fuel rail and injectors.
Do I need to take off the throttle body to remove the SC?
I really don't want to remove the TB because it's dirty and as soon as I unbolt it some of the hidden dirt will fall into the TB hole. I can see the big Torx bolts that hold to SC. Am I ready to unbolt the SC?

I removed the supercharger.
Do you guys think it's ok. It has some deposits on it from sitting or maybe there was a small fire I'm not sure. I bought the car wrecked and dismantled it. The throttle body butterfly valve looks pretty dirty and calcified. I taped off the holes.

Hard to say from a pic if its good or not. When you spin the pulley, does it spin freely and is there any noises coming from inside? Take the throttle body off now as you can see if any little debris falls in there, you will be alble to clean it! Look inside and see how it looks. If theres no noises when spinning its the first and most important thing. Then I would just tape everything real good and clean it. Just dont wash it with a pressure washer and youllbe fine. Use chemicals and srub it clean, then just rinse it with water.

Oh yea and on your 3rd pic. You can see the small rubber vacuum line on top of sc that goes under sc and intercooler and connects to the switch over valve for the bypassvalves? Next to it on right side there is a hole, there should be a rubber fitting and thats where a hard metallic vacuum line connects. Just one more place to seal!

What does the intercooler on the bottom look like? Do you have a pic of that (underside of the SC). Making sure there are no cracks/rust etc around the fittings and end tanks.
