Yes, I thought about a GTR, but it's not really my style. If I were 25, then hell yes, but I'm not anymore...
I will have to check out the Jag, though.

Maybe the 911. There are 2010s that are CPO that are still under warranty. But frankly, I don't care much about the warranty. If something breaks and you're freaking out about not having a warranty, then in my mind you can't afford the car.
Yes, I thought about a Gallardo, but a little more flashy than my normal persona. But maybe I will take one for a spin. I've never driven a Lambo, so maybe I don't know what I'm missing!

Just for me, I'd rather have the fat optioned out TT over the skinny GT3. Love the gobs of torque in the TT, just like that's what drove me to AMGs over M cars.

Thanks. Don't think I would pick the RS7 as a second car. Eventually, I'll replace my E63--maybe with an RS7...

Haha, very funny! Each of them has a 15 year warranty now?

You will get more stares from the right people (not the gallardo crowd), will get way more respect than the Beetle Crowd (joke on 911) and have a car that is very reliable, easy to maintain, and really fun to drive. Will cost less to maintain than both of those others, the Lambo by a long shot. I gotta friend with a 07' DB9 that would be about the best you could find, rare car, and I promise you likely wouldn't see another for weeks or months at a time. I am posting his thread for it. Another if you PM me who is motivated to sell on a 05' DB9 with less than 20k miles on it. Both are maintained perfectly, documented, and are worth what they are asking. Here is the link on 6speed for Sunir's 07. He is very much like Shardul on here. So that speaks to the quality. AM would be my first choice hands down. Done enough research for it and looked at the two mentioned, plus a Bentley CGT (very nice also, loved it for a week but grew tired of it due to size)
AM's are very nice, but not my thing. Would rather have something smaller than a larger GT type vehicle.

Wait, is your 911 the gray one with red wheels? If my memory serves me, I think you got into an argument with someone over not getting the TT...
Anyway, that setup was/is amazing. Like I said above, I'm not all that flashy, but I showed your ride to my wife and said 'damn, I think I could go for that.' It really is beautiful--nicely done.

Lots of sexy and fast cars out there, but few that will start every time you want them to, doesn't cost $10K for brakes and won't depreciate 40% in three years. None of these scenarios is fun!
In other words, Porsche.
Have you driven a Cayman?
Thanks and yes, I am most seriously considering the Porsche. But for me, it's 911 or nothing (except a Carrera GT or 918). Wouldn't ever consider a Boxter or Cayman. I'm sure they are nice, though.
Before you say No to the Cayman, check out the New GT4 Cayman.. They put the 911 engine in it.. Keep in mind it's a mid engine car it WILL handle better than the 911.. I've driven most the cars you are looking at and believe either porsche or R8 is the way to go, just really depends on what you want to do with it.. Happy hunting..

Totally forgot about the new Cayman GT4 - that thing is just sweet!
I know you said that you didnt want a GT type car, however you said you did Like Aston Martins. The Vantage series is not a GT car at all. Its a sports car, small like the 911, and is a direct so to speak competitor of the 911. The Brand New Vantage GT, not the GT3, is right at 100k. Pretty much the same price bracket as the Jag F-Type. Here is a pic of it. 911's are great, but not much can beat a AM in all aspects, especially the beauty department. God they are good looking cars.
The new AMG GTS starts at 129,000 give them your 12-18 month waiting period, and you could have a superb vehicle with a warranty. Just my .02 They will be available soon! The fit/finish is second to none. The interior is truly a cockpit set for takeoff.
Any reason to stay away from the new Z-06? I personally haven't driven a C7 yet, but my C5z06 was one of the best cars ive ever owned. Had I not needed a back seat I probably would be still driving a corvette. For the price you really cant beat what the z06 dishes out, and because of that they are one of the most exciting cars to drive.
If you just cant bring yourself to buy a "poor mans supercar" I'd understand though lol.
I'd also suggesting looking at the new 2016 CTS-V, not sure if its what your looking for considering the slight lean towards a Porsche as far as handling, but 650hp 4 door sounds like fun to me!

the new z06 is the road king. it is perfectly engineered & is loaded with tech upgrades throughout. it puts down incredible numbers out of the factory at 650hp/650tq, sub 3 second 0-60, sub 11 second qtr mile, with good potential for tuning gains into 800+ hp range. all this at an $80k starting price & it beats cars priced at 18x more than the z06 ..oh and it gets 23 mpg on the highway. try finding a better bang for your buck in a performance car

I just don't really like the look of Corvettes. On the C7, I can't stand the look of the rear of the car.
As for the CTS-V, I would definitely consider that as a replacement for the E63, but I really don't want two sedans--looking for a 2 seater or a 2+2 like the 911.
