Have you placed it on a Star Diagnostic System? What were the codes both stored and current?
Another related item in that sub-system is a small valve that can intermittently fail. I was reading about it in a post while searching for something else....

it could be an issue with the vacuum source going to the switchover valve on the front of the engine. the vacuum originates from the small rubber vacuum line on the top rear drivers side of the supercharger and then routes down under the supercharger to the front of the engine to the switchover valve. the vacuum line can deteriorate at the rear of the supercharger area.

O2 sensors, EGR, SAIR
car must be running, not fault codes must exist.
1. Select your car
2. Go to Control Units
3. Go to Drive
4. Go to MESFI 2.8
5. Go to Development Data
6. Go to Control Unit Adaptations
7. Go to Control Unit Adaptations(Variant Coding)
8. Go to Implizite Kodierung ME281 AMG C6-Stand
For EGR scroll down to 0176 and change Diagnose ein to Diagnose aus
For Secondary Air Injection scroll down to 0178 and change Diagnose ein Diagnose aus
For Post Cat 02 sensors scroll down to 0182 and change Diagnose ein Diagnose aus
