Whats the cheapest device and where can i get it from to read and write tunes on e55

If you're talking about modifiying, there is some generic software out there (winOLS etc.) the problem mostly, as I understand it, is annotation of the file. (and a steep learning curve for winOLS).

For my motorcycle, I've been blessed with TuneECU. for the benz, there is nothing comparable. If you find something out, let me know. I'd love to have full control.

I have looked into this before with no real luck either

Subbed.... as I would like to also know what is being used especially for tuning

I have heard of TOAD. Problem is, if it really worked, why does not a single person use it? I might try it though, there's not a whole lot to lose

Yeah I should have stated that those were the only couple I came across, not that I would use them OR have used them

Which is why I am hoping someone with usefull knowledge pipes up
