Has anyone experienced pixels being destroyed in the central digital display on a W211? I have an 06 E55 AMG that has just started to loose pixels in a random pattern across the middle of the display. I can no longer read temperature / speed / etc... any fix for this? Thank you very much in advance!

I haven't heard of anyone losing pixels?
You may consider replacing it with a used one?

I know it's common on BMWs and Audis - due to age and heat exposure. Stands to reason it would apply to MB vehicles as well. For those, you would swap out the screen. Worst case would be to swap out the entire center console which isn't cheap.

I've never done this myself, but I did in my Audi S4 and S6 Avant.

I've seen it many times on the s4 also. I don't remember off hand but there's a place that can fix them? I'll have to take a look, maybe they can repair the MB's?
