Hey all need help- wanting 20 inch Vossen CVT Rims - need help with tires

hey all first off forgive me im new to a lot of this stuff and i did research the forums for quite awhile and i saw many people giving different tire configurations that confused me so I thought I would make a thread to get some opinons

I am wanting to buy the Vossen CVT 20 inch rims (they sell them in sizes 8.5-10.5 so I can get whichever size is best) for an E55 2003

I am also wanting to buy new tires for the 20 inch rim set but I dont know what tire size to get. From my research on the forums it seemed like quite a few people mentioned
Front 245/35/20
Rear 275/30/20

But recently I have been reading how most of these setups mess with the speedometer which I dont want to do.

I have not lowered the vehicle and I am currently running the original tires.

will the 245/35 and 275/30 setup get me closest to the original tire diameter size so that i dont mess up the speedometer or make it too harsh a ride? and what size rim (8.5? 9.5? 10.5?) should I get for that?

I would really appreciate some opinions on this i am new to it and would appreciate help.

Upon more research it now seems like this is the correct sizing:

20x9 Front with 245/30/20
20x10.5 Rear 285/25/20

will these be a very harsh ride? anyone riding on a e55 with the above front/rear tire sizing?

255/30/20 and 295/25/20 would be optimal. The ride is actually pretty nice even with the skinny tires thanks to the air suspension.

Thanks for reply, would 255 and 295 sizes tires cause any sort of speedometer issues or is it similar diameter as the stock wheels?

255/30 & 295/25 are only 8mm/12mm taller than stock, which is not enough to affect your speedo that you would notice.

I know you are aware that your speedo is off with those sizes by ~2.8mph, but did you also know that your accumulated mileage is also affected? When you have gone 300 miles, your odometer records that you have traveled 314.

What offset for a 10.5" rim with 295 tires would be best to avoid rubbing? Or is the offset dependent on the wheel style?
