Quote: Easy 9s, not even a question. Your trap speed is crazy. You're quicker than a Veyron in the quarter mile The SLR that did 9.7 has a lower trap speed than you.

Then you can forget about 9s. I know manual is fun to drive and is "more involving" *eyes rolling* but it's slower when it comes to drag racing. These engines just aren't right with a manual gearbox. Imagine a manual Veyron. Not even Lewis Hamilton could shift faster than an auto.
Reread my statement. I personally have no intention of changing to a manual gearbox.

I want to go fast but I still have every feature the car came with. My daily driver is a 2015 Audi S5 but I still drive the CLK55 on the street from time to time

Once you have a luxury sedan with a bunch of inoperable features you no longer have a fast luxury sedan, you have a slow race car

Well it took me almost a year to get the parts I needed made. I went back and forth several times. Once I had all the parts I figured I might as well finish what I started lol

Enough with the handies already...lettuce be real.

Until you can post some legitimately inflated dyno numbers, or report which speed you can flash the TC light...la de frickin' da.

You probably haven't even tinted your head lights yet.

Congrats on the times! Put some slicks on it to band-aid the suspension issues and you will get your 9 easily. Or you may have to run brand new DR's and even that could be hit or miss because of how a DR wants to be hit on the line. Or, add 100 lbs in the trunk. The 60 ft improvement will make up for the additional weight.

Talk about the ULTIMATE sleeper, you should go find as many exotics as you can and race for pinks.. You will be in the 9.8 range any week I'm sure.. Congrats..

Thanks! Yea I was running slicks before but just put on new Hooiser drag radials and they don't seem to be working very well for me. I already have a full weight battery, an additional fuel cell, and a intercooler tank back there but I could try to throw a weight back there. I'm gonna look at the suspension and try to see if there is anything wrong there first.

Ahmad and I are friends. We are both pushing the 55 platform to a new level. Both in very different ways. I give him a lot of credit, especially after all he's been through with his car. And when he gets his 9.6 pass, it will be well worth everything. And I still wouldn't be mad.
