in the middle of the oem air filters you will see a line of glue all the way, some part of it cracks and come off by the the time and goes in to the engine...thats the reason i dont want to use mann or other that as this line of glue in the middle again...

If for standard paper filters, only use the original AMG ones from your dealer. The aftermarket MANN/MAHLE/KNECHT/HUMMEL are NOT the same.
I had a loss in down-low power after replacing mine with aftermarket MANN during normal maintenance.
After replacing them again with tuning filters (foam) by ITG airfilters UK, boy i gained a lot of feelable engine response and the car now feels as it was accelerating more easily during part-throttle accelerations.
So never again aftermarket OE(M) Filters for these engines from my side.
I have researched a bit and it seems the genuine Paper Filter by the MB dealer is made with better flow in mind. Dunno how they do that, but they do it. I remember a similar situation with early 3.6L M104 engines in the W124 chassis, they also got another paper filter by AMG with better flow compared to the "stock" M104 engines - the MB EPC listed these filters as "Durchsatzoptimiert" back in the day - English: "throughput-optimized"

I think to remeber that it was MAHLE. Doesn't matter as they are not the same you get in the aftermarket. The filters by the Dealer have an AMG logo on it and do look a tiny little bit different by the paper material and duller color. The aftermarket ones can fit other cars on the market too, while the ones from the dealer only listed to fit for the 5.5L AMG Kompressor engines.

I held my K&N's up to the sun, and they looked too porous to trust. I guess I'll have to try the dealer and compare with the MANN filters I'm running.

Thinking of trying the dry AEM filters. Thoughts.
