DAS hassle
For some reason I can not "read" my coding anymore. In other words it will come up "at least code could not be read" and it will display all the numbers but not show what it represents...the code page reads -------.It will show 176 for the egr but the box's are empty until I click on it. I was in before and turned off the air pump and now want to do EGR...0176, but the screen is not displaying the same anymore. Its been a while so could I be in the wrong menu? Quick test...me2.8 motor...get to Variant coding and than it falls short from there. What do you guys think. Everything else works...just did a brake bleed....that was real entertaining!!!!!! and can change-adjust other things so it is linking up no problem. Hope I explained myself OK

Spent many hours going in from all different menus and still can not get the screen to show coding. But....I can see that air pump and EGR are "not fitted"and "no diagnosis" so this of course means that they are not on correct?
Anyone else run into this? I restarted the lap top ,car running, not running. There are no codes and everything else works perfect.

You'll need a Dev mode SDS unit that's unlocked. (if yours was working but not now from memory there was some license that had a date set to it, if it has gone past that date you may have issues - try setting the date back in the bios as a test)
1. Select your car
2. Go to Control Units
3. Go to Drive
4. Go to MESFI 2.8
5. Go to Development Data
6. Go to Control Unit Adaptations
7. Go to Control Unit Adaptations(Variant Coding)
8. Go to Implizite Kodierung ME281 AMG C6-Stand
For EGR scroll down to 0176 and change Diagnose ein to Diagnose aus
For Secondary Air Injection scroll down to 0178 and change Diagnose ein Diagnose aus
For Post Cat 02 sensors scroll down to 0182 and change Diagnose ein Diagnose aus
That will disable each of those in the computer.
* The engine needs to be running for these settings to save
I did all the above, car runs a little bit rich on startup but I have noticed the idle is now nice and smooth

I just had this unit updated from Sharduls IT guy but I will check the date and make sure. Like I said though I can do anything with it except see the coding again. Strange.
