thanks everyone... i'll take more pics after i get her cleaned up a little. lots of road bugs on the drive!
dyno run next week to get a baseline. we'll see how healthy she is after 80,000.
amazing how well these cars hold up after 10 years. Interior is spotless (minus a loose SOS cover latch).

As a new owner as well the coolest thing I've learned thus far is the "secret compartment." Hit the silver small button underneath the hazard button on the dash. Opened up to a 6 disk cd changer for me.

Yah same here... but not sure how often i would actually use the 6 disk. I think there are some mods that people did you change it to a hidden storage compartment.
For my audio needs I just use my phone through bluetooth aux adapter in the glovebox.
Also the storage on the front seats... hmmm what goes in there!?
Car came with dynamic seats too which is a nice feature!

I may just "gorilla glue" it. Never used.
I did remove the set (easy to do) & I messed with the springs that lock it but it didn't last long. jj

Yah I temporarily fixed it up with some shoe goo... It's strong enough to hold but not permanent.

Get the clear version. You can also get it at Walmart.
It has held up for a couple of days and only a pea sized amount is needed.
Just put a dab on the male end, close it and put some masking tape to keep it in place while it dries.
It's kind of like the glue that's on the back of credit cards when they are attached to the letters, where it boogers up. Not as soft as silicon, but peels off kind of the same way and not as messy. Maybe Some blue RTV would work too, but I think it would take too long to dry and bit messy.
If I ever get around to replacing with OEM parts, I don't think the shoe goo would be hard to remove.

Hey, how's that CD mounted cell phone holder seem? Does it vibrate around or anything? It there a lot of "slop" or "play" in there? I don't want something that's going to bounce around and make a ton of unnecessary noise lol.

The Koomis mount is good, I switched to it from the vent mount I had previously. It has a mechanism that presses against the inside of the slot and locks into place. Has been very sturdy.

The CD mount holds up pretty well. It comes with spacers to accomodate different CD opening sizes and locks into place pretty firm. The articulation is not strong enough to hold an iPhone 6 with a case, especially the metal case I use which is pretty heavy.
I just adjusted it to the position that works best for me and "fixed" it in place with a couple dabs of shoe goo.
