Soon To be AMG Owner
I'm looking to purchase a w211 E55 in the next few months. I need help regarding what too look out for while purchasing. I've read a few things about air suspension issues and issues with he fuel line. If anyone can show me what to look out for/ how to look out for it, It would be greatly appreciated. Anything else regarding good prices and mileage I should look for would also be appreciated.

Read LOTS in this forum. No-one is going to hold your hand, you have to put in the homework. There are plenty of good threads here with all the information you need.
Having said that there are a few things to be sure of. Off the top of my head:
* The Heat Exchange and IC Pump will both need to be upgraded (if they havent been already) unless you enjoy limp mode - and no-one enjoys limp...
* If you are in the U.S. MBUSA have recently agreed to extend the warranty for the fuel system to 15 years so you're covered there.
* Air suspension and SBC (brake controller) both have limited lifespans and aren't cheap so check to see if these have been replaced.
