You know it's cold outside...
When you start up your MB and the COMAND unit displays "Temperature too low for CD operation".
When you can light up your 265 Dunlop M2s @ 70mph with a W210 E55.
When you track snow into your MB and after your 30 minute commute it still hasn't melted, with the heat set to 80 degrees.
Damn, it's cold.

You think that's bad...
I live in Edmonton, Canada. For about the last week, we have been in a cold spell. With the windchill, the temperature has been about -42 degrees F.
For anyone who cares, my 2004 e55 is my daily driver, and performs admirably.

We were in Los Angeles at Christmas. It was about 55 to 60 F. I was walking around in shorts and a T-shirt. The locals were in mittens, heavy jackets and numerous layers. We looked at each other as though the other was mad. One thing about the cold...it sure makes you appreciate the warmth!

How about when you're shoveling snow and have to come in after half an hour because your hands hurt and you're close to frostbite...and you're wearing gloves! The northeast has beautiful scenery most of the year, but winter is a torturous time if you're not into cold weather activities. Oh, another plus for the E55. Those heated seats work great.

A couple weeks ago the car was so dirty and with the salt and all I just had to take it through the car wash. Yes, the car wash. No boos from you guys in palm tree country. I thought if I could just get rolling quickly the water would blow off. But I got stuck at a light for 2 minutes and ended up with ice caked on the wheels. Here we just do the best we can in the winter and save the loving detailing for t shirt temps.
