Thanks for the pictures. This is great.
sfkarp: Did you order the spare using the part number that Eddie Knopp has found? How much did it cost?
Looks like you have a WeatherTech mat. Did you have to trim it?

Ordered the tire from Mercedes parts at my dealer. I will try to find my receipt with the part number and cost. I had to trim the weather tech mat for my NAV system and ended up trimming the other side also so I could use the netting.

Part number for spare is 230-400-49-00. The retail cost was about $484 but the parts guy sold it to me for $388 since I just bought a $90,000 car from them. I know the spare fits, because I has the salesman pull my car into the shop and put it on the front. It clears the big brakes with no problem.

The part # is different I think that the initial coding indicates the model - 211 vs 230. Probably the same wheel.
When mine comes in I'll take some photos.
Thanks for the photos as well, I'm planning on taking them to the dealer to get them to do this mod.

I wonder about the rest of the difference between the 230-400-49-00 vs A211-400-31-95 model numbers.

Dealer got the spare, but alas in in Switzerland will have to wait a week or so. They do plan on rearranging the under portion of the trunk to fit it in. They told me there might be a slight bump.
Will let you know
