So,
If there were interested parties that spared the expense of ordering the TCM-2800 for the NAG1/722.6 what software molestation is needed to get it right and set up?
Is this something that with a laptop and a 4g connection you would remote in with say TeamViewer and custom tune the TCM.
Or can you create a base file from the 722.643 you have tested with the 113k motor and then we as end users can ask for assistance in adjusting properties if and when we need it?
Seriously interesting times ahead! Some of these crappy Chrysler parts are actually becoming useful as they are hackable and or have the American Muscle counter car parts with alternating mod/cross brand functionality
=D
+1 on clearing up the muddy water on this clouded subject Whipple
Any more info on the who what when where and how would be great.

I have starter calibrations. For different applications. This one for instance is enough to get the car so it can be driven to work etc. A bit more. But it still needs some work for sure.
I cannot really tune live via team viewer. It is just to slow of a connection. It also just takes to much seat time. The best way is for me to have a car for a couple of weeks to drive and tune as I go back and forth to work. Then it can be modified in small amounts for the individual.
As far as end user tuning goes that really depends on the person. I would not call transmission tuning easy. But it also depends on what the end user wants or expects. Factory quality soft shifts take a tremendous amount of work. Racing at the drag strip does not. Just the same as tuning and engine for WOT only vs driving it every day in every condition.

Kudos to whipplem104 and creative use of open source software/hardware.
I am familiar with many variants myself but never centered in on the TCU.
The internet of things has changed the way we perform ethical hacks on the CAN bus.
The best use of this controller is in the hands of the user in a specific forum with others to share tweaking techniques that are enterprising. E55k 722.6 user group. for instance
If it requires coding and software beyond the scope of the forum it can be shared as a download from GitHub where software is developed for a non marketable interest.
How much $ for the controller with a start-up program?
I am game for tweaking if the price is fair.
Best, Gator

Gator,
You are correct that in an environment of a tight cross vehicle group like E55s that sharing calibration files around for each other is a great way to develop a tune as a group.
I do not believe in locking down tunes personally. But if I spent business hours developing them I would.
It is not an open source code though. Just tuning software. All the integration via CAN is built into the firmware but can be selected as options.

I am game as well, being a UNIX/Linux guy for trade and all around ethical-hacker, I am game for a group-learn,tcu-tune share.
Ready willing and able to blow up $427 shipped transmission currently installed
