Does anyone know if MB is offering the E55 with 4Matic? My son swears he saw a commercial on TV last night announcing it.

No they are not offering it or no you don't know they are offering it?

 

AMG doesn't offer any 4matics in their line up.

Except the G55 but its not a 4matic.

 

I know it hasn't been available to date but no news on if it will be available in the future?

EDIT: It is offered in EU, no?

 

The previous E55 has been available with 4matic, even in wagon form. So it is entirely possible that the new model will be offered with it. First thought, it may be exclusively for Europe.

 

The only powertrain change I've heard of coming soon might be the 7G transmission. But the way MB has been all fowled up with introductions lately, who can say even if that will happen.

Nothing on 4matic.

 

Note this post (April 2003) from Ronald in Germany:

"There is no AMG 4Matic (well, except the ML 55) and there won't be any within the next few years. That's a fact. If you want further confirmation, call up AMG directly. They will tell you the same thing: 07144 / 302 - 0"
