how the heck does the Alternator come out?
I have taken the fan shroud out and the alternator is loose. I cannot get it past the coolant lines. I have been trying for the past hour to get it out!
Any help would be awesome! Thanks everyone!

Well, that was a *****. Had to take the fan shroud out, but in order to take that out, I had to take the header panel out. Then a few coolant hoses had to be disconnected or pulled out of the way. Way more work than I thought it would be. Hardly any room to get the alternator out of it's "pocket". Also had to use a file to shave a few millimeters off the mounting surface of the alternator in order to get it into the mounting ears on the block.

The hoses have enough play when taken out of their holders to get the alternator out. Roll the alternator top over bottom in between the hoses. The pulley of the alternator will be facing the firewall when it's out. Install the new alternator with the pulley facing the firewall and roll it back into place.
It appears that the fan shroud is still on the car. That will need to come out in order to replace the alternator.

Got it out. Comes out really easily once you disconnect the radiator lines. Also slips right back in place. Just have to pry out the brackets to get it to slip back into place. No need to grind down the alternator to fit!
