Crazy question here - anyone know if those 4 ground cables are bonded/spliced inside the ECU or does each one serve a different function?

Thanks Mitch
Further diagnoses has pointed me to my supercharger clutch magnet control thingy... phew! I'm sure that's cheaper to fix than an ecu

MBWorld Fanatic!
I think this thread may be onto something very useful
I've been recently considering adding a rear mount turbo to my 2002 cl55 build, people have told me i would probably need m113k ECU to make it work, probably so that the ECU looks more primarily for readings from the MAP rather than focusing on the MAF?
this also means i would need the EIS, shifter and maybe some other things from an m113k which I don't want to bother with
but the more i think about it, and reaffirmed by this thread, my 2002 has ME2.8 software/ecu? same one in the m113k cars, just maybe lacking a few of the sensors/supercharger specific wires the m113k uses
this guy seems to continually modify the existing e55 ecu when he did his build, he doesn't mention adding any sort of piggyback to the ecu or anything. and this 55 turbo build seems to be relatively budget friendly, i think he spent around $2000? not bad at all considering everybody used to swear it was easily $10k to turbo these cars

seems he's also doing the boost-a-pump type setup. i wonder how that must be configured in relation to the tune, wonder if its trial and error or if there's some sort of "pattern" or something to follow in regards to mapping out fuel and spark
