Jeezus christ a G37? Uhhhm Check and bleed your intercooler system bro. My car felt like *** when I had a blown fuse to my intercooler and i had air in the system too.
They have turbo kits and supercharger kits for G37. Yes, they mod them same as 370Z. He was forced inducted bro. No way he could hang with you NA with mods.
BTW 2-3 car lengths is an *** whooping bro. Thats like a bus length or more haha….You smoked him. No need to feel bad about anything. He probably dropped like 20 grand into his car and went him cursing up a storm. Cheers

Ohh, Well you still destroyed him by 2-3 car lengths. E63 with 7 speed pull really nice up top.

But definately he shouldn't have hanged with me into 130mph right? I've asked like 2 times and no one seems to answer, but from 60-130mph, how many car lengths would a stock e63 have on a stock g37 give or take...?

A G37 traps around 104-106 in the quarter while an E63 does it around 111-114mph. No, he should not have hung with you stock for stock.

Is the be platform extremely expensive to modify
? From what I recall to get any real power from the platform you have upgrade the internals quite extensively

E63 to a G37 in a 60-130mph run? Holy jeezus. It would be an *** raping so hard the prisoners on death row would be envious of you. You would rape and pillage him. That car is not even in the same galaxy as your E63.
I used to race Modded NA 350Z and G35 and such in my E46 M3 like 11 years ago and it was pillage time. A stock E63 would pull train lengths on a E46 M3 60-130.
He hung with you for 1 of a few reasons. Either you didn't drop down the lowest possible gear when you started the race. (not in your sweet spot) So thats one possibility. The next is the guy probably had like 20 grand in a full turbo system, engine management, fuel system, clutch flywheel, dyno time, labor etc etc. So for him to hang with you is impressive. But, you can shine a turd. But, in the end it just a shiny turd. You have a stock E63 and he couldn't beat it with a full modded rice rocket.
When you put twin turbo on a G37 you get near like GTR performance. Those VQ engines are very similar, they are in the same family of engines. Not much different then the motor in a GTR. So, keep that in mind also.
The way I see it. It's only a close race when you can still see the guys face next you. Someone is struggling to put a fender length ahead. But, once you pass him and you can see his lights in your side view mirror and eventually in your rear view. He's got no chance and You spanked him.

Wait, I thought you said you had him by 2-3 cars. That is like a bus length or more.. You pillaged the poor guy. That's not "hanging" bro. You put him over your knee and spanked him good. If you killed him by more then that, He should not have raced you begin with.

Yeah man 2-3 car lengths is a pretty nice beating. And that car was probably well modded.

When I go out Jaegering, I've found that my E63 is very tough to beat from a roll. There are a ton of modded WRX STi's, here in Denver. From a dig, they jump out a couple lengths. Once we start rolling past "legal" speeds, I start reeling them in. I can only imagine what it will be like, once we move to Austin. This altitude just neuters N/A engines.

Well, this is really funny. I was coming home late from work yesterday around 10ish and the freeways were pretty open. Guess what car pulls up next to me? A Panamera Turbo S. I knew he would dust me and he did actually haha. We both floored it and he took me very well, no competition. Put a bus length on me and exited. It felt good being beaten by a 200k turbo porsche than a POS g37. Well done panamera, well done. What does it take to beat one of those suckas?

The tune and airbox w/ filters are noticible, but it's not night and day. Throttle response is definitely better. EC was running a sale on the MyGenius. So, it made it a no-brainer to pick it up. It's all a progression, for me. Eventually, I'll pick up some headers. I really think the Weistec "Rev Matching" mod will be next, though.

Try to run a new M4 60-130. I heard those things are very quick. I think the new generation M4 has finally caught up the E class AMG's in terms of straight line speed stock to stock

POS G37 Hahaha Porsche Turbo and S are different. The S is substantially faster then a normal Turbo which is already very fast.

I had a '98 S70 T-5 M that I had iPd do a ton of work on... and that thing was an absolute blast for what it was and when it was (it destroyed S4's & M3's of the time). We had it so cranked with beefy sway bars and strut tower braces that it literally had no roll. Last dyno I remember on it was 273 at the wheels which I know doesn't sound like much now compared to our cars... but 15 years ago... that thing was a banshee.
When it was time to part with it... I put it on Ebay knowing that no one local would really know what it was... and sure enough, a Volvo fan up in Virginia knew what it was and decided to drive down to GA to buy it for his son.
In his Ferrari 355.
