E55 AMG 05 i replaced the air filter 2 years ago I put probably 10 thousand miles since. I want to explain how I replaced the air filters and know if I did it properly because when I romoved the hose I can see the filter is Still clean does it look right I hope that's how it's supposed to be.

NOTICE THERE IS STILL ROOM ON THE BOTTOM FOR THE FILTER. ANYTHING LOOK OUT OF PLACE I FORGOT HOW THE PREVIOUS FILTER WAS POSITIONed


Finally found it Here are the photos when I changed it two years ago.



I remember I first inserted the two filters on the big air box and than I tightened it on the black piece that's laying on the carpet

yes. i dont think you could install these air filters wrong even if you tried to.

Thank you and I hope you are right I am just afraid if I did it wrong rocks,dust, and insects will bypass inside the engine. However if that was the case I am sure I would notice something in the 10,000 miles that i have driven it since the last replacement of the filter

What's going on is I thought I incorrectly installed the air filter on to my car you see anything out of place in the picture
