Update to Quad-Core HU thread in w211 sedan forum...

FYI, I'm almost done with the HU and aftermarket amp install... here are my findings thus far at the end of this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ics-txt-3.html

...thought some of you might have interest, I'm the first in the US to do the upgrade with this unit, I believe.

edit: got the steering wheel buttons to work! they just needed to be enabled in the advanced settings..

I would have done something like this but I hate the bezel, they should have used an OEM style bezel.

What do you mean? I think the bezel looks fine. The whole unit looks pretty sleek and almost oem -like

It doesn't have the keypad, it has 1-2-3-4-5-6 buttons which look ugly and so does the volume knob and what not. They look low quality.

The NTG 2.5 fascia is gorgeous, they should have used that.
