Random Electrical Questions
I did a scan of my car yesterday, and there's several recurring error codes I'd like to get resolved (since these are the same parts as the E55 I thought I'd ask here as well).
9205 - Output of M21/2R1 (Mirror Heater) has short circuit to ground
Is this just a defective outer mirror? I assume the heating element has shorted out, and the mirror just needs to be popped off and replaced.
D302 - Cable to GPS antenna has short circuit
9403 - Relay close trunk lid remains in the switched state (contact sticks)
9500 - Button s62/26 RTL pushbutton (close trunk lid from inside) remains in the switched state
Previously, I had several wires break in the trunk wiring harness leading down the left side of the trunk-lid (and as far as I know these included the wires for the GPS and the trunk lid switch). I repaired them manually, and haven't had any issues with the switches working, the trunk mechanism, or the GPS positioning but the errors are persistent after the repair.
Is this just a result of the wires having been broken? I looked for a replacement wiring harness for just the trunk lid, but it appears that it's part of a much larger harness. Anyone have any experience with this?
Appreciate your help and suggestions.
