Dealer broke my Belt tensioner for Supercharger
Went in for routine engine oil service, trans oil / filter service and a few other minor maintenance items. Dealer broke the belt tensioner as they were trying to put a stock belt on. Which normally takes me 30 seconds. But, it wouldn't go on for some reason. I guess the tech put too much pressure and broke it. Car is stock with Shardul aluminum tensioner pulleys.
They were acting kinda iffy because it wasn't on the work order. I asked the tech last minute if he could swap it. I didn't want to get my hands dirty and I was about to leave.
On the positive note. I asked dealer to raise my car back to stock with star. I was sick of the lowered look and feel for years. Felt childish... Finally got around to it. Looks great on the 19s. No more odd tire wear hopefully, more contact patch, and best of all better ride quality and I can raise it up really high to get into steep places and not jack up my lip. Still looks good on normal and sport settings.
****But, now I got the airmatic malfunction light. Everything works fine. raises up and down all even. I think the filter on the airmatic pump is really dirty and hoping changing the air filter will help***
I also know how it is to be lowered on STAR. It looks awesome, but there is odd tire wear unless the camber is adjusted.
Best of luck.

The tech was putting too much force on the tensioner thinking it would slide on and broke the part where the 17mm wrench attaches. That piece just broke off the tensioner but, it still functioned. I replaced it out with another one and put the belt on myself after remembering to remove the ASP pulley.
