Any advice on selling wheels on craigslist ?
Hey guys,
I'm selling my stock E55 wheels with tires on craigslist, I have a buyer who asked to use paypal, and I know all the scam, chargebacks, hacked accounts etc.. can lead to the money being withdrawn later.
I was considering asking him to mail a cashiers check since my bank would verify funds and I can wait until it clears, anyone else have experience/advice here ?
I was also attempting to estimate shipping, 18" wheels with tires, i'm assuming 50lb's each and actual dimensions with tires around 27 x 10 x 18, does that sound about right ( tires are not with me right now)

For craigslist, I would say local pickup only. Otherwise just have them wire the money to your account. Very hard to reverse a wire. Cashier's checks can be fakes and it can take several weeks to find out they are fake, not just a few days. If you read the tire classifieds, there's a sticky on what the cheapest way to ship tires would be.

Like others have said, cash only. Call your local police station and ask if you can conduct the transaction in their parking lot. Many of our local Police stations encourage and invite this sort of exchange on their property.

Tires are great, maybe 1/3 of wear,
craigslist post is here :

since you're on the forum and local I'd give you a little off the price.
