You're the first guy to make it work, congrats. I still can't get it to better than 1.61 on a 315 hoosier. I spin I just can't hit them full force either flashing it or stalling up. Any body or suspension mods?

stock suspension, untouched body... i have had a hard time getting a good burnout, ultimately what works the best for me is i roll back in the water, pull forward without spinning in the water, manual mode, 1st gear, ESP off... i do a rolling promod style burnout with no brakes until it "chirps" the tires, this is usually 40-60ft past the starting line, so usually a 100ft burnout total... this leaves a good rubber patch for me to line up on... i stall up around 2800 rpm's, leave on full throttle...

the stall works however you need really good track prep because these cars turn into animals with the stall.

i think what a lot of people dont realize is how many passes it takes to figure a car out... i literally am at my local 1/8 mile track almost weekly... i have tried so many combinations based on forum searching, but everyone should realize that what works for one person, may not work for the other... yes, same cars, but geography and track conditions are so important... for example i tried QTPs, they were HORRIBLE for me, but they work well for others...

You got that right! I made over 75 passes this summer and it was only towards the end of the season that I started to get competitive. I finished the Fall Footbrake class tied for 3rd place. Unfortunately after the tiebreakers were applied I ended up in 5th. I considered this my learning season, so I'm hoping to be competitive when the track opens in March.

Good job on cutting sub-1.5 60' times!

You are very correct, it takes some seat time to figure out what works best

Mine was done with stock converter and stock suspension

Yup

Wish I could have tried with the UPD converter. That would have been fun.

Kinda, posted about them and got flamed like hell for my free thinking... I got all the typical "talking points" about what I did was wrong, unsafe, to cheap, un-AMG like, pretty much all the "experts" were going to learn me the way because I didnt like the normal way of thinking... but if you search, its here somewheres, lol... 17x11 50mm offset, $130 each plus $45 each for machining...

Edit, with 6mm spacers that I made out of old rotors, lol...

Very impressive! 315 are really wide. Might be hurting you up top... 6.8 looks like a 10.7. Very fast! Congrats
