Oil Level issue on multi display

Oil Level issue on multi display
I changed the oil the other day, replaced both drain bolts and washers and poured 9 quarts back in.
I am now in a cycle when I go to check the oil level on the dash where I go from "turn ignition on to see oil level", so I turn it on and then it reads "not when engine on".
I have gone through the manual and tried to let the car sit overnight and check it with a cold engine and I have tried to check it after driving it for 15 minutes and letting it stand. I have no errors for the oil level sensor in STAR.
Any ideas why I can't get it to work properly?

Another way, which shows in actual litres or quarts, is have the display in temp mode, insert your key, go to first position, press your trip odo button three times quickly, the car will beep, and display your Volts. Use your up and down arrows to view your oil level, start your car and you'll see real time levels too.
