Limitations of stock supercharger snout???

Has anyone ran a larger TB on an m113k with the stock snout? An adapter plate for mounting and smoothing the airflow wouldn't be that hard to fab.
We know the shaft mod on the stock tb helps. Some have said 6hp some 12 hp. Someone else gained 1mph in the 1320.

How much would the 80mm tb be worth with the stock snout??
I know most people will say none. But are you sure???

look at that intake plenum where the tb goes its a choke design and poor design. its a choke point that's prob why intakes do nothing for our cars and tb's can be small gains.

You can safely bore the stock sc snout to 82mm. The side wall get really thin after that. Some members weld more material around the inlet an bore them out to 90mm, but that'll require a lot of work.

Yes I saw that pic. It looks bad. It still makes me wonder if there is 18-22 hp in a tb upgrade with stock snout.

It seems like a lot of money 1800 and labor for the 30hp.

If there is 15+ hp for a third of the cost it would be a mob many would do.

Just wondering

You can easily do that mod for the third of the cost...

Mercedes
I added shorty headers along with 82mm throttle body w/shaft grind and a ported supercharger snout, and I went from 430 to 495hp

Shorty headers are good for 45hp max, so tb upgrade yielded at least 30whp
