HELP E63 RANDOMLY LOSES POWER
Hi good afternoon !
I own a 2007 e63 and this trouble started after I got an oil change.
The following day after the oil change, I pull out of the freeway and the car loses most of its power. Accelerator almost to the floor and the engine is running like crazy but it struggles to hit 20mph. I IMMEDIATELY contact the oil change guys and they decide to look at it and figure whats wrong , they said it was because they used a non AMG oil filter and that they overfilled it , they ordered the right part and the car ran like normal again .
3 weeks later I go to the mechanic to get the airmatic replaced and they also check up the car and say that everything is working fine and that the car looks good. The following morning AGAIN accelerator almost to the floor and the engine is running like crazy but it struggled to hit 20mph, turned it off and turned it on and it ran a little sluggish but it ran somewhat normal, weird.
Now 2 days later AGAIN loss of power but all you have to do is turn off the car and restart it again and it runs normally.
No check engine lights and mechanics can't seem to find the problem.
Any ideas ? Help! PleASE

What's is the tachometer doing when the engine is trying to get up to speed?

If it was a quick oil change place hopefully a rookie wasn't working underneath.
If your engine is "going crazy" and the car is barely moving it might be slipping. Just to be on the safe side, make sure your transmission wasn't drained instead of the engine oil by accident. I use to work at such a place and it wouldn't be the first time something rediculous like this has happened.
Best of luck
