Next mod? SC Pulley?

Hey everyone, I want to get some input from you guys to help me decide what to do next. My E55 is an 06, ive done PLM HE, Bosch 010 Pump, and Kleemann headers. Also did a sort of custom exhaust, its catless with an xpipe > stock resonator > stock mufflers. I have the stock midsection saved so I can swap for emissions time. My biggest thing is safety as I do not want to run an aggressive tune and I want to keep the engine in tip tip shape. I am planning on doing a smaller sc pulley (clutched), along with a belt wrap kit and a tune. The car is on a kleemann tune right now but I believe thats just keeping the cel away since its catless. I shouldn't have to touch the injectors or fuel rail with this setup correct? And what are everyone experiences with this setup? The car dynoed stock with the PLM HE and 010 pump and put down 427 Hp and 480 Tq. What numbers should I be expecting and will this setup be safe? Thanks in advance everyone!

I just went with Fixed SuperCharger Pulley and Eurocharged tune. I bet you can do a Kleemann tune coordinating the upper pulley size vs crank pulley. I think Kleemann has a tune for a 175 lower? Your right Kleeman's tune does take the CEL out with a cat delete.

I would assume you had a performance tune done when you did your headers. The 84mm pulley won't get you that much if you already have a tune 20hp maybe. You may want to look at a 77mm cluched or a 175 crank would be alittle safer

an 84mm clutched pulley is only going to add 1.5-2psi. This will be about the same amount of boost you lost when you put the headers on and increased exhaust efficiency. Adding this pulley would essentially put the same strain that was stock back onto the motor, so it will be relatively safe. The supercharger will of course be spinning faster with any pulley, which will reduce its life expectancy and the bearings inside a tiny bit, but nothing that i would be worried about.

The 77 pulley will be the equivalent of a 180mm crank pulley. all of these options can be easily tuned

Thats what I like to hear, that makes sense. Thank you so much everyone for your help. What tuners would you guys recommend? I do live in colorado so im leaning towards Kleemann but anyone else worth checking out?

If you have headers and a heat exchanger sorted then the 77mm is a great bang for buck edition, I picked up over 80whp when I fitted my 77mm

FYI - What I have seen on the E55 facebook page there is a current deal for

(New) 77mm Clutched SC Pulley + Weistec TCU Tune with TCU to keep + (New) Belt Wrap Kit $1000usd shipped to your door

Also there has been a recent deal there for 82mm Throttle Bodys and Bolt on adapter that bolts onto the stock 74mm snout housing for $450 shipped

https://www.facebook.com/groups/69388070001/

Also don't forget some 550cc injectors WITH the pigtails (don't get the adapters - #7 injector is a ***** of a thing to fit with these) - these injectors with pigstails have been found on ebay recently for under $300usd

Do a 77mm clutched and 550cc injectors. After my headers I lost approx .8 psi boost and after adding 77mm increased approx 3.5 psi.

Boost is a measure of restriction, headers create more flow so less boost - more power, thats what you want

But yes 77mm and 550s are they way to go moving forward...then an 82/90mm throttle body kit to top it off

Correct. Just throwing real world numbers out there so there is more info for people who want it. Interesting thing is I did not record any boost reduction after the 82mm tb though with my stock pulleys.

Yeah I understand and every input is appreciated, just take note that what you may find is adding flow pre SC will actually slightly increase boost because the restrictions still exist getting the air out....more volume of air in yet.....heads-manifolds-less flow out

Those 77mm clutched pulleys are great though aren't they
