"Valve cover gasket seepage"

If a dealer says you've got valve cover gasket seepage and then says, it'll be ok for now but eventually the VC gasket will need to be replaced, ...how many miles do you think I have until it should be fixed? it will hopefully be a warranty covered item.

Anytime would good. If it's covered under warranty wait a few months and then tell them you smell oil burning.

Ah cool thanks. I will definitely tell them the "smell oil burning" trick, since if I (the customer) doesn't technically point out an issue, the warranty company won't cover! I was thinking about going with "the car drips oil" but I like your idea better!
